Santa Fe Opera

Tailgate Dinner - August, 2005

The Barber of Seville

Not exactly the same as a CU Buffs game.  Our neighbors, Charlie & Maria met us for the opera and we decided to tailgate dinner rather than go to a restaurant.  Arriving early,  we got a prime parking place in the lot and set up a card table and chairs.  Sue brought the lace tablecloth and candlesticks.  She also selected the designer paper plates and plastic utensils.   Maria provided the German themed dinner of 3 types of ham and leberwurst from the Continental Deli in Denver.   Cheese, apricots and other assorted fruits were on the side as well as a French baquette.   Sue and I brought the wine,  a fantastic bottle of 1992 Chateau Margaux Pavillon Blanc.   The dessert truffles were brought from Germany by Maria.   All in all a wonderful way to begin an opera evening.  And,  the performance was superb!
