Chappell, NE (CNP)

It always amazes me that there
are these small specks of towns that have airports. Or, at least a
maintained runway. Most don't have active services, but a surprising
number do. Chappell is unattended and you can get fuel on request if you
call ahead.
The airport is a mile from town
and an easy walk. We parked in the runup area by the numbers
"12" which was closest to town in order to save 3/4 mile of additional
walking. I didn't think this would be a problem since traffic was
nil. This wasn't a breakfast flight although we did discover that the one
restaurant in town was open, so it's a possibility in the future.
